University of Minnesota Family Medicine and Community Health launched a “Life As a Family Medicine Resident” video series in late 2013, highlighting our residency programs, sharing resident stories, and giving applicants a feel for life in Minnesota.

As of February 2, 2014, the “Life As a Family Medicine Resident” video series had achieved 35% of total views of our previous residency recruitment video series (released in summer 2009); the new videos had been up for just over three months, the old videos were up for four years.
The new series has averaged more than 1,500 views per month.
We are on track to surpass the old video series total viewership by the year anniversary—a
400% improvement.
